Tips for First Timers

1.

Trail or hybrid shoes are recommended as the packed gravel and dirt sections can be slippery in wet conditions.

2.

The course includes one bridge crossing that can be narrow, so overtaking may be limited at this point.

3.

Be aware of cyclists also using the Yarra Trail during the event.

4.

The Studley Park Boathouse is a beautiful place to relax after your run overlooking the river.

Best Time to Visit

Autumn for incredible riverside colour. Spring when the native birds are most active. Avoid after heavy rain as the trail can flood near the river.
